The Sophie Hood is a beautifully simple, modern hooded scarf worked in one piece from tip to tip. It is knitted flat, back and forth in garter stitch, with elegant built-in i-cord edges that give a polished finish without extra fuss.
The hood itself is shaped with increases and decreases, then neatly sewn together at the back of the neck using mattress stitch. The result is a timeless, cosy accessory that sits comfortably around the neck and shoulders β perfect for cooler weather and effortless layering.
This is a satisfying, rhythmic knit that suits confident beginners and experienced knitters alike.
