We know FAQs aren’t always the most exciting read, but we hope this makes shopping with us easier. Whether you’re after yarn, patterns, knitting needles, or crochet supplies,  here’s everything you need to know about ordering online, visiting our Rangiora store, and getting help with your projects.

Can You Help Me With My Knitting or Crochet Project?

Absolutely! We know knitting and crochet don’t always go to plan. Maybe you’re stuck on a stitch, made a mistake, or just need a bit of advice.

We love helping makers feel confident, so don’t hesitate to reach out.

 

Payment Options – Do You Offer Afterpay?

Yes, we do! You can use Afterpay both online and in-store at The Wool Shop.

That means you can take home the yarn, needles, or pattern you love today and pay it off in four instalments. It works the same way whether you’re shopping with us in Rangiora or ordering online.

We also accept EFTPOS, credit cards, and gift vouchers.

 

Returns & Refunds – Yarn, Patterns & Supplies

We know sometimes a project changes direction — or the shade you thought was perfect just isn’t quite right once you get it home.

Non-Returnable Items

Damages & Issues
If something’s faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered, please let us know straight away (ideally with photos). We’ll make it right quickly.

Exchanges
The simplest way to exchange is to return your order, and once it’s accepted, place a new one.

Refunds
We don’t offer cash refunds. Instead:

You’ll receive store credit (valid for 12 months), or
A Wool Shop gift voucher (also valid for 12 months)

When will my order arrive?
We aim to pack and send your order within 1–2 business days. Once it’s on its way, you can usually expect:

At the moment, we only ship within New Zealand. Australia - we'll be ready for you soon!

Where does my order ship from?
All orders ship directly from our store in Rangiora, North Canterbury.

Orders before 3pm are shipped on the same day.

Orders under $40  $7.50 postage & handling
Orders $40 - $149.99 $10 postage & handling
Orders over $150 FREE 

 

How do I track my yarn order?
 You should receive a tracking link by email when your order ships. Can’t find it? Check your spam folder, or email us at hello@thewoolshop.co.nz

My order hasn’t arrived yet — what should I do?
Before contacting us, it’s worth checking:

Still no luck? Please email us with your order number and we’ll chase it up.

What if I received the wrong or damaged product?
 Oh no — we’re so sorry if this happens. Please email us within 7 days (with photos please) and your order number, and we’ll sort it quickly with a replacement or credit.

If you’d rather pick up your order in person, you can select Click & Collect at checkout. We’ll let you know when it’s ready to collect from our Rangiora shop.
