The Stockholm Sweater is a soft, lightweight sweater worked from the top down, designed to feel airy while still warm.
You begin by working the top of the back flat. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, which are shaped with short rows to create a clean, natural slope. The front and back are joined under the armholes, and the body is worked in the round.
Sleeves are picked up and worked down from the armholes, and the sweater is finished with a folded rib neckline, which is sewn down for a polished finish.
This is one of those pieces that feels almost weightless to wear, but still gives you warmth thanks to the fabric structure.
Designed to have approximately 15 cm of positive ease.

You’re aiming for a fabric that is:

Total metreage (both strands combined):
This pattern is all about the fabric you create.
If you swap to something with less halo, you’ll get a crisper look — but you’ll lose some of that light, cloud-like feel this design is known for.
