Hardcover book by Rebecca Clow, (known as CreaBea on Ravelry/online)
Rebecca Clow is one of our favourite knitting designers. You may know her work from Ravelry or Etsy, including the Stick Season sweater, Tolsta Tea and Inch sweater. Her designs are loved for their great fit and thoughtful size inclusiveness, and Shorelines brings that same care to a collection inspired by the Scottish coast she calls home.
There are 18 patterns in the book: 7 sweaters, 3 cardigans, 2 vests, 3 scarves, a pair of socks and 2 hats. Rebecca draws on traditional gansey knitting and her memories of Scottish harbour towns and sailing trips with her grandparents. The result is a collection with a real sense of place, full of pieces made for brisk sea breezes and cosy days.
One detail we’re especially excited about is the colourwork section at the back. It includes intarsia templates to help you play with some of the designs, including a rather delightful puffin.
