Delicate, textural, and quietly beautiful — the Sequence Sweater is a striped raglan worked in (k1, p1) rib from the top down, held together with a whisper of silk mohair for a halo-soft finish. The raglan yoke is shaped with increases, the neckline is worked flat first, and the sweater finishes with a folded double neckband in rib — a refined detail that sets this design apart.
Designed by Petite Knit, this is a rewarding advanced-intermediate knit with a relaxed 13–14 cm of positive ease and a beautifully drapey result once washed and blocked.

A Note on Gauge & Blocking
This sweater is worked in rib, which will relax significantly after washing. While knitting, you should achieve approx. 25–27 sts per 10 cm — this will relax to 22 sts per 10 cm after washing and blocking. Always knit a swatch, wash and block it, and measure after blocking before casting on.
Needles
- 3 mm circular needle — 40 cm (16 inches)
- 4 mm circular needles — 60 cm and 80–100 cm (24 and 32–40 inches)
- 3 mm and 4 mm double pointed needles (or Magic Loop)
Gauge
22 sts × 25 rows = 10 × 10 cm (4 × 4 inches) in (k1, p1) rib in the round on 4 mm needles, after wash and blocking.
Size Guide
The Sequence Sweater is designed with approx. 13–14 cm of positive ease. Measure your bust circumference and choose the size that matches your measurement below. For example, a 95 cm bust should knit size M.
| Size | Fits Bust (cm) | Finished Bust (cm) | Length (cm) | Sleeve Length (cm) | DK (m) | Lace 2 ply (m) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| XS | ~85 | 98 | 52 | 42 | 900 | 848 |
| S | ~90 | 104 | 55 | 44 | 900–1200 | 1060 |
| M | ~95 | 109 | 57 | 47 | 1200 | 1060 |
| L | ~100 | 115 | 60 | 49 | 1200 | 1272 |
| XL | ~110 | 124 | 64 | 50 | 1500 | 1272–1484 |
All measurements after wash and blocking. Spinni meterage based on 50 g = 300 m. Silk Mohair meterage based on 25 g = 212 m. Quantities are approximate — always purchase a little extra to allow for your individual tension and swatch.
