Ridgeline Sweater - Purl Foundry

The Ridgeline Sweater is a relaxed V-neck sweater worked seamlessly from the top down. Designed with beautiful saddle shoulders and a flowing sleeve construction, it features a distinct seamless line running the full length of each sleeve. There’s no picked-up sleeve seam at the top — the sleeves flow directly from the yoke, making this a really satisfying and engaging knit.

Wear it relaxed and oversized, or choose a smaller amount of ease for a more classic fit.

✨ Yarn Options
The Ridgeline Sweater can be knitted in:

• A single strand of 8 ply yarn
OR
• 4 ply yarn held together with laceweight mohair for a softer, fluffier finish

The blue sample shown was knitted in 8 ply on its own.
The beige sample was knitted holding 4 ply together with silk mohair.

Construction
The saddle shoulder strips are worked first, then joined so the yoke and sleeves are worked together in the round down to the underarms. From there, the body and sleeves are completed separately. Stitches are then picked up around the neckline to finish the neckband.

Sizing & Fit
Designed to be worn with approximately 15–35 cm / 6–14” of positive ease at the bust.

For a more classic fit, choose a size with less ease.
For a relaxed oversized look, choose a size with more ease.

Suggested Yarn Types
• 8 ply yarn
• 4 ply yarn + laceweight mohair/silk held together

Needles
• 4.5 mm (US7) circular needles
• 3.5 mm (US4) circular needles
• 80 cm / 32” cable recommended

Sleeves are worked in the round using the magic loop method. If preferred, DPNs can also be used.
