A fluffy mohair tee to throw on with jeans, with just enough texture to feel a little dressed up. Our November Kit of the Month brings together the Candyfloss Tee pattern by Stitch Parade and Crucci Nimbus for a relaxed, airy knit.
Worked with Nimbus held double on 8 mm and 9 mm circular needles, this is a quick, fun project with elongated stitches and a wide slash neckline.
Choose your pattern format, yarn colour and yarn-quantity option. The kit pairs the Candyfloss Tee pattern with Crucci Nimbus yarn; use the size guide below to check the quantity needed for your chosen fit.
The pattern uses numbered sizes. Choose by your body bust and the finished measurement rather than relying on letter sizes alone. The tee is designed for approximately 10–15 cm of positive ease; the pattern sample is Size 2.
| Pattern size | Body bust (cm) | Finished bust (cm) | Nimbus balls | Total yarn (metres) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 75–85 | 95 | 4 | 540 |
| 2 | 85–95 | 105 | 4 | 540 |
| 3 | 95–105 | 115 | 5 | 675 |
| 4 | 105–115 | 125 | 5 | 675 |
| 5 | 115–125 | 135 | 6 | 810 |
| 6 | 125–135 | 145 | 7 | 945 |
| 7 | 135–145 | 155 | 8 | 1080 |
These are the total yarn quantities stated for the Candyfloss Tee, with the yarn held double throughout.
The body is worked in the round to the underarm, then divided so the front and back can be worked flat. Three-stitch I-cord edges frame the panels, and the shoulders are joined to form the wide slash neckline. Elongated stitches give the fabric its light, subtly translucent texture.
You will need 8 mm and 9 mm circular needles, 80 or 100 cm long. Please supply your own needles.
Pattern tension: 9.5 stitches and 14 rows or rounds to 10 cm in stocking stitch, measured after steam blocking. Make and block a swatch before starting, and adjust your needle size if needed. Use this pattern tension rather than Nimbus's standard single-strand yarn tension.
Follow the care instructions on the Nimbus ball band.
