A little bomber jacket with a whole lot of love! The Mini Love Bomber is the children's version of the popular Love Bomber knitting pattern, featuring a ribbed collar, drop shoulders, balloon cuffs and a heart motif on the back. Chunky yarn and large needles make this a quick-knit project with plenty of personality.
Designed for children and teens aged 1–15 years, this cardigan comes in five sizes. Knit one in their favourite colour for a cosy layer they'll love to wear.
Construction and skill level
Suitable for advanced knitters and above.
The body is knitted flat from the bottom up in one piece, then divided at the underarms.
After the shoulders are seamed, the sleeves are knitted in the round from the top down.
The sleeves use the magic loop method, with double-pointed needles as an alternative.
Sizing and fit
Sizes are labelled A (B, C) (D, E). Choose your size using the finished chest measurements, allowing 5–8cm / 2–3.25 inches of positive ease to suit your preferred fit.

Yarn and gauge
Choose a chunky yarn with a recommended needle size of 15mm on the label that achieves the pattern gauge. Use the metreage above when calculating quantities for your chosen yarn.
Gauge: 6.5 stitches and 9 rows = 10 × 10cm in stockinette stitch.
Needles
15mm / US 19 circular needles with an 80cm / 31.5-inch cord.
10mm / US 15 circular needles with an 80cm / 31.5-inch cord.
If you prefer double-pointed needles for the sleeves, you will also need DPNs in both sizes.
