The Julie Bag is a structured, tactile knit bag worked entirely in knit stitches — no purling required. The bottom is cast on and worked on double-pointed needles, then the sides are worked in the round on a circular needle in garter stitch with raised knit stitches that give the bag its distinctive texture. Turns at the end of each round mean the whole bag is knit-only, making it a satisfying and meditative project. The raised stitches continue seamlessly up into sturdy i-cord handles for a polished, cohesive finish.
Worked in a chunky wool, this bag knits up quickly and holds its shape beautifully.
