The Jenny Blouse is a refined, textured piece worked from the top down in a smock pattern, giving it a really distinctive look without being overcomplicated to wear.

You begin with the back yoke, worked flat with short rows to shape the neckline. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, and the yoke is built from there. The body is worked in the round, while the sleeves continue in the smock pattern for a consistent, textured finish.

There are options to work the sleeves with or without shaping, so you can choose the look you prefer. The blouse is finished with a folded neckline for a clean edge.

This is one of those pieces that feels a bit special on the needles and even better on.

Choosing Your Yarn

This is where the feel of this piece really comes from.

• If you go silk mohair + merino, you’ll get that soft, airy, slightly fuzzy finish
• If you swap the halo yarn for something like a brushed alpaca, you’ll get a fuller, warmer fabric
• If you reduce the halo effect, the texture will still show — just with a crisper finish
