Sizing and fit

Yarn

Use worsted-weight / 10ply yarn that achieves the pattern gauge. Wool or cotton are both suitable options; choose a yarn that shows off the stitch definition.

Needles

• 6.5mm / US 10.5 circular needle, or the size needed to obtain gauge, with a suggested 100cm / 40-inch cord.
• 5.5mm / US 9 circular needle with a suggested 100cm / 40-inch cord.
• The sleeves and neckline use the magic loop method. A shorter circular needle or double-pointed needles may be used instead.

Gauge

16.5 stitches × 22 rows = 10 × 10cm / 4 × 4 inches in stockinette stitch.

If your swatch has too many stitches across 10cm, try a larger needle. If it has too few stitches, try a smaller needle. Swatch again to check both stitch and row gauge.
