A small, useful project is a lovely way to get comfortable with your knitting needles. This pattern set gives you four cotton cloths to choose from: three textured designs, plus a bonus knit-only pattern for someone who is just starting out.
Begin with the simple garter-stitch cloth, then try moss stitch, textured rows and rib. You’ll get to practise knit and purl stitches while making something you can put to work in the kitchen or bathroom.
You’ll need: 8-ply cotton, approximately 80 metres per cloth, and 4 mm knitting needles. Gauge isn’t important for these practical projects.
The set includes:
- A knit-only cloth for complete beginners
- A pebbly, reversible moss-stitch cloth
- A textured cloth with contrasting knit and purl rows
- A ribbed cloth with stretchy columns
Choose a pattern that suits your mood, or work through all four as you build your confidence one cloth at a time.
