Emmy Top - Junior

The Emmy Top Junior brings the beloved Emmy Top silhouette to younger knitters — a close-fitting, sleeveless top with elegant double-knit straps grafted to the back with Kitchener stitch. Worked bottom-up in the round in stockinette stitch, the front and back yokes are shaped separately with side decreases for a neat, tailored finish. Knit it in one solid colour or make it playful with bold 4-row stripes.

Knit your swatch and wash it before measuring — the recommended yarns will grow with wash and wear, and the finished top will ease out by a couple of centimetres [an inch or so] after blocking. Keep this in mind when choosing your size.

The Emmy Top Junior is designed with zero ease. Measure around the fullest part of the chest to determine the correct size. For example, a 57 cm [22½ inch] chest = size 4–5 years. If the child’s chest measurement falls between sizes, or they are shorter or taller than average, lengths can be adjusted accordingly.
