Countrywide Pattern P328 Children’s Jumper
A round-neck jumper with a buttoned front tab for children aged 1–10 years. It’s an approachable knit with straightforward finishing, and the cable detail makes a lovely first cable project. Prefer an even quicker knit? Leave the cables out.
Sizes and measurements
- 1–2 years: fits 55 cm chest; finished width 60 cm; back length 38 cm; 3 × 100 g balls
- 2–4 years: fits 60 cm chest; finished width 65 cm; back length 42 cm; 3 × 100 g balls
- 5–6 years: fits 65 cm chest; finished width 70 cm; back length 46 cm; 4 × 100 g balls
- 7–8 years: fits 70 cm chest; finished width 75 cm; back length 50 cm; 4 × 100 g balls
- 9–10 years: fits 75 cm chest; finished width 80 cm; back length 54 cm; 5 × 100 g balls
Yarn and needles
The original 14 ply yarn is discontinued. Choose a suitable 14 ply yarn or hold two strands of 8 ply together, and check your tension before starting. The ball counts above are based on the original 100 g yarn, so quantities may differ with a substitute.
- 6 mm straight knitting needles
- Tension: 15 stitches and 21 rows to 10 × 10 cm on 6 mm needles
