Countrywide Pattern P244 Child’s Winter Sweater – 14 Ply
A cosy round-neck winter jumper for children, with the option to add contrast cuffs and a contrast neckband. This pattern leaflet is designed for Countrywide Naturals Chunky 14 ply as the main yarn; for the optional contrast details, use Countrywide Windsor DK/8 ply held double.
Sizes and main-colour yarn
- 2 years: approximately 70 cm chest; 3 balls of Naturals 14 ply
- 4 years: approximately 75 cm chest; 3 balls of Naturals 14 ply
- 6 years: approximately 80 cm chest; 4 balls of Naturals 14 ply
- 8 years: approximately 86 cm chest; 4 balls of Naturals 14 ply
- 10 years: approximately 90 cm chest; 4 balls of Naturals 14 ply
Optional contrast yarn: Countrywide Windsor DK/8 ply held double; one ball in each of three different colours (3 Windsor balls total).
Needles: 5 mm and 6 mm straight knitting needles; optional 6 mm × 40 cm circular needle for the neckband.
