Yarn
This pattern is worked using a 4 ply yarn held double, giving a fabric equivalent to an 8 ply weight. We stock a great range of 4 ply yarns at The Wool Shop — pop in or get in touch and we’ll help you choose the perfect colours.
- Main Colour (M): 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2 × 100g balls
- Contrast Colour (C): 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2 × 100g balls
Quantities are approximate and may vary between knitters.
Needles & Extras
- 1 pair each 4.00 mm (UK 8) and 3.25 mm (UK 10) knitting needles, or sizes needed to achieve correct tension
- 2 stitch holders for Jumper
- 1 (1, 1, 2, 2, 2) buttons for Jumper
- Wool needle for sewing seams
Tension
22 sts and 29 rows to 10 cm over stocking stitch, using 4.00 mm needles and yarn held double.
To check your tension, cast on 33 sts using 4.00 mm needles and yarn double, and work 44 rows in stocking stitch. Adjust needle size as needed to achieve correct tension.
