The Linea Sweater is a relaxed, oversized sweater featuring a striking contrast line across the upper yoke that highlights the shoulder shaping. It is worked from the top down, allowing you to adjust the length as you knit.
Construction begins with the back yoke, which is worked flat using short rows to create a gently curved shape for a comfortable fit. A contrast-coloured line is worked along the cast-on edge of the back yoke — this becomes a defining design feature and forms the base for picking up stitches for the shoulders and front. The sleeves are worked from stitches picked up around the armholes, and the sweater is finished with a ribbed neckline.
This is a bold, modern silhouette with generous ease and clean lines — perfect for showcasing a solid wool and a simple contrast colour.

Yarn Information (Important – Read This)
This pattern was originally designed using a straightforward Scandinavian wool — a yarn with good structure and stitch definition.
That makes it ideal for NZ and Australian pure wool yarns, which perform exceptionally well in our climates and suit this style of garment perfectly. Of course you can also make it in a merino/ merino blend.
