Knit a little penguin for your little one! This charming raglan-sleeved jersey is worked flat from the bottom up in Touch Yarns 8ply/DK yarn, with a sweet penguin design that brings plenty of personality to a baby’s wardrobe.
Choose classic charcoal, natural and saffron, or take inspiration from New Zealand’s little blue penguin and knit the body in duck egg blue or denim blue. For a different look, work alternating two-row stripes to create a cute everyday raglan jersey.

Yarn requirements
Touch Merino 8ply/DK (double knit) knitting wool in 50g balls.
- Contrast colour, Natural: 1, 1, 2, 2, 2 balls.
- Contrast colour, Saffron: a small amount for all sizes.
Needles and notions
- 4mm knitting needles (UK 8 / US 6).
- 3 buttons or domes.
- Small black buttons for the eyes.
