The Linea Sweater is an elegant, oversized knit worked from the top down. You begin with the back yoke, shaped using short rows for a gentle curve, and a contrast-coloured line is added along the cast-on edge to highlight this shaping. Stitches for the shoulders and front are then picked up along this line, and the yoke grows into a beautifully balanced design.

The body is worked back and forth until the underarms, then joined and worked in the round. The sleeves are knitted from picked-up stitches, and the neckline is finished with a clean ribbed edge. The result is a soft, architectural sweater with striking lines and a relaxed, modern fit.

Sizing & Fit

Designed with approx. 30 cm of positive ease, the Linea Sweater has a roomy, contemporary silhouette that drapes beautifully.

Designed to fit bust:

75–80 (80–85) 85–90 (90–95)
95–100 (100–110) 110–120 (120–130) 130–140 (140–150) cm

Finished bust circumference:

113 (118) 122 (127) 131 (140) 149 (158) 167 (176) cm

Length (mid back, excl. neckline):

65 (67) 69 (70) 71 (72) 72 (72) 73 (73) cm

This oversized fit is intentional β€” if you prefer a slightly less roomy sweater, you can size down.

Yarn Type Needed

The Linea Sweater is designed for a DK / 8-ply wool that gives body, structure, and crisp stitch definition. You’ll also need a small amount of the same yarn type in a contrast colour for the decorative line across the back yoke.

Choose yarn that:

  • sits in the DK / light worsted category

  • meets the gauge of 18 sts Γ— 26 rows = 10 cm on 4 mm needles

  • has enough structure to support the oversized shape
