The Cloud Tee is a light, elegant top worked from the top down with beautifully shaped shoulders and a soft funnel neckline. You begin by working the back yoke flat with short rows, then shape each shoulder individually before joining them to create the front yoke. The front and back yoke are then connected at the underarms, and the body is knitted in the round for a smooth, seamless finish. Sleeves are picked up and worked in the round, and the neckline is completed last in clean stockinette.

It’s a refined, simple knit with gorgeous drape β€” perfect for summer yarns, soft blends, or anything that gives you crisp stitch definition.

Yarn Type Needed

This tee is designed for a lightweight, summer-friendly yarn that knits to:

  • 28 sts Γ— 40 rows = 10 cm in stockinette

  • 3 mm needles

  • Fingering to light sport-weight yarns (often called 4-ply / 5-ply depending on fibre)

Perfect yarn characteristics:

  • Smooth and breathable

  • Fibres such as cotton, linen, silk blends, cashmere blends, or soft plant-based fibres

  • Crisp stitch definition for the clean neckline and sleeve edges
