Red Hut is our favourite budget-friendly substitute for Peer Gynt, a popular yarn recommended by PetiteKnit. Its pure wool character makes it a lovely choice for warm, practical knits with clear stitch definition. Some patterns originally call for a different yarn; Red Hut is our suggested alternative. Check each pattern’s yarn notes, match the washed and blocked gauge, and calculate your ball quantities using Red Hut’s 50g/100m ball size.
