The September Sweater is a luxurious top-down brioche stitch sweater designed with minimal finishing and maximum comfort. This advanced pattern features a unique construction method that begins with the back yoke, progresses through picked-up shoulder stitches, and joins seamlessly to create a beautifully textured garment with almost no sewing required.
Construction Details
Top-down construction with brioche stitch throughout
Back yoke worked flat with increases, then shoulders picked up and worked separately
Body worked in the round to hem after joining front and back yokes
Sleeves picked up at armholes and worked in the round with shaping
Designed with approximately 15 cm [6 inches] of positive ease for a relaxed, comfortable fit. Available in nine sizes:

Length measured mid-back including folded neck edge. Note that brioche stitch naturally expands with wash and wear—expect your finished sweater to grow 4-8 cm [1½-3¼ inches] in circumference over time.
Gauge & Materials
12 sts x 38 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 inches] in brioche stitch on 5 mm [US8] needles. Pattern includes two yarn combination suggestions with detailed yardage requirements for all sizes.
