Make a statement with the Love Bomber, a cosy, oversized drop-shoulder cardigan with a ribbed neckline, balloon cuffs and a playful heart motif on the back. Thick yarn and chunky needles make this a quick-growing knit, ready to become a favourite layer for cooler days.
The body is worked flat from the bottom up as one piece before dividing at the underarms. Sleeves are worked in the round from the top down for a seamless sleeve finish.

Yarn
Choose a chunky yarn with a recommended needle size of 15mm on the label, and check your tension against the pattern gauge. You can use two yarns held together if it meets the correct gauge.
Needles
- 15mm / US 19 circular needles with a 100cm / 40-inch cord.
- 10mm / US 15 circular needles with a 100cm / 40-inch cord.
- Optional: double-pointed needles in both sizes if you prefer these for the sleeves.
Circular needles are recommended rather than straight needles to accommodate the bulky yarn and length of the body, even though the body is knitted flat. The sleeves use the magic loop method with circular needles.
Gauge
6.5 stitches and 9 rows = 10 × 10cm in stocking stitch.
