Ingrid Sweater Junior

Create a cosy handmade favourite with Ingrid Sweater Junior by Petite Knit. Three different knit-and-purl texture sections, each separated by an eyelet section, give this children's sweater its distinctive character. A folded ribbed neckline adds a neat finishing touch to a lovely everyday layer.

Construction

The sweater is worked from the top down. First, the back yoke is knitted back and forth, with short rows shaping the sloping shoulders. Stitches are picked up and knitted for the shoulder sections, which are worked separately before being joined to form the front yoke.

The front and back yokes are joined at the underarms, and the body is worked straight down in the round. The sleeves are knitted in the round from stitches picked up along the armholes. The ribbed neck edge is folded double and knitted together.
