Bring a little handmade warmth to everyday dressing with Everyday Socks Junior by Petite Knit. Choose playful stripes or one favourite solid colour for a classic pair of children's socks, a lovely addition to the sock drawer or a thoughtful knitted gift.
The socks are worked from the cuff to the toe in stocking stitch, with the heel shaped using short rows. Knit them in 4 ply sock yarn, in stripes or a single solid colour.
Sizes
- EU children's shoe sizes: 20–21 (22–23) 24–25 (26–27) 28–29 (30–31) 32–33 (34–35)
- US children's shoe sizes: 4½–5½ (6–7½) 8–9 (9½–10½) 11–11½ (12–13½) adult 1–2 (adult 2½–3½)
Yarn
4 ply sock yarn. Choose colours for stripes or knit the socks in one solid colour.
Needles
- 2.5 mm [US1½] double-pointed needles.
- Alternatively, a 2.5 mm [US1½] / 60 or 80 cm [24 or 32 inches] circular needle for the Magic Loop technique.
Gauge
30 stitches × 40 rows = 10 × 10 cm [4 × 4 inches] in stocking stitch on 2.5 mm [US1½] needles.
